A personal movie diary designed to turn watching movies into something worth remembering.

What it is

A private, functional web app for logging movies watched together — entries, ratings, a shared album, and a running timeline.

The idea

Watching something together is small on its own, but a running record of it becomes its own kind of story over time.

Design direction

Warm and paper-like, closer to a physical diary than a typical dashboard, while staying genuinely usable day-to-day.

Interaction

A responsive diary interface with a timeline view, a photo album, and lightweight statistics that update as entries are added.

Technical implementation

Built with Next.js, a relational database for entries and media, and API routes for authentication and data access.

Challenges

The hardest part was making the statistics and timeline feel alive without turning the app into something that felt like work to maintain.
